About Me

Hi!

My name is Collis,

I’m a certified fitness professional in Nutrition Coaching and mat Pilates.

I have been in the fitness industry, as a personal trainer and group instructor, for almost a decade now. I’m a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu aficionado, and I have proved this by earning my purple belt in the sport.

My personal and group training method consists of fun and creative exercises that will benefit you in everyday life situations both now and in the long term. I love helping people find joy, freedom in movement, and sustainable eating habits.

Although my lifelong personal passion is martial arts, I’m very aware that this sport isn’t for everyone.

I have helped many people discover their exercise patterns, from running or HIIT to aerobics or simply walking.

Consistent and regular exercise nourishes the mind and body; medical studies have found a direct correlation between a lack of regular exercise and illnesses typically associated with ageing.

I would love to help you find your passion for movement if you do not already have one. If you already have one, you may find you lack motivation or accountability, in which case I can help you with that too!

Exercising should be something you love, whether walking, running, playing a team sport, or lifting weights. If you enjoy what you do, it will not feel like a chore, and you are more likely to persevere when things get tough – and believe me, they WILL get tough!

When it comes to nutrition, the food you eat should be enjoyable; you want to look forward to what you are going to eat, right?

Having a restrictive diet is no fun for anyone. Restrictive diets can be counterproductive as often people end up eating more of what they told themselves they would not eat.

I have not always been this consistent; my eating habits have changed over time, and with regular exercise, my body fat has turned to lean muscle mass.

I achieved this without restricting my diet or giving up my favourite foods but through sustainable, consistent habits tailored to my needs over time.

I can now maintain my ideal weight, fluctuating between 2/3 kg depending on training, preparation for a Jiu-Jitsu competition or holidaying.

I look forward to helping my clients do the same.

Should we be a good fit for each other, my plan will encourage you to have consistent exercise and eating habits.

I can help you become and maintain your desired weight and body shape depending on your personal goals.

So, whether you are entirely new to exercise, looking to try something new or working on a specific goal, I can work closely with you to help you understand what works for you and what doesn’t.
